JESUS IS COMING

(TO TAKE THE CHURCH AWAY)

North Carolina, 1971

When a rural town is ravaged by inexplicable disappearances, a devoted reverend relies on his faith to buoy the community.

But when he and his son discover an extraterrestrial explanation, they face a moral dilemma: reveal the truth or bury their otherworldly secret.

Jesus is Coming wrapped production on Tuesday, July 16 2024 in Roxboro, North Carolina. We had a mighty team of classmates, pre-professional filmmakers, friends, and local crew who worked very hard to make this film come to life.

The film was shot on 16mm celluloid on an ARRI 416 film camera to evoke the essence of the 70s time period and location.

Special thanks to the organizations that partnered with us to support our efforts in filmmaking: Winstead Farms, Allen Chapel AME, KODAK, Illumination Dynamics, ARRI, and Columbia University.
